× I don't think he's like either, mainly because both had issues to work out amongst themselves and each other. Both were fighting for the same girl. 1 GIRL. But Ian was foghting for the soul of 1 girl( or whatever) He got over his problems by himself and that makes him stronger than Edward and Jacob.......
Edward is just so lame. I can't even describe him with words, because then I feel sorry for the word. I've read some of Meyer's book about him, and he is crazy. So no. Ian is, maybe a little unrealistic, but still, so much more than Edward is.
Nope, I like Ian but Edward was a stronger character, and everyone that has read both books knows that.

× I don't know about stronger. He was physically, but he also had 4 1/2 books to develop. Whereas Ian, has majorly developed in only 1. And Ian goes through a completely different scenario that changes his very beliefs. Edward just has to learn to cope with his environment. I liked both characters, but I believe Ian did more and changed more and displayed a greater inner strength then Edward was capable of. Ian's perfection is more realistic because of his flaws. Edward was, in a way, too perfect to believe. Even in his personal struggle
Its true that Edward had 4 books but just in the first book i found him i don't know stronger than Ian not because of his powers, but lets see how Ian characters develops in the future books. I really liked Ian an i am looking forward to see more of Ian and Wanda.
not at all. I think he's more like Jacob (maybe because I've always been team Jacob :D)but what I mean is that he's the guy that's always going to be there for you no matter what.

Yes, he is more Jacob. Kind and loyal, and super, super hot.
Not at all. Edward is old fashioned, too altruistic, tormented (because of what he is) and even a bit obssessive, but above all that he always have been the one for Bella, and deep inside he always new that.
He tried to stay away from her to protect her of what he is thing that Wanda does in the Host. She try to stay away from him for his own good.
Anyway.. Ian is comprehensive, kind and a bit shaken, he is a ordinary guy that went through a lot and learned the meaning of life, you know? Like.. he learned the hard way; losing his family, friends, his race (human race) and hope. So this changed him a lot. And there'is the thing that Ian is not the only one in Wanda's life - fact that he knows. He doesn't have that certainty that Edward has.
I think Wanda looks more like Edward than Ian :)
