It was called Adele opens up about body image issues: I don't let them rule my life | EW.com
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Ahead of Friday’s release of Adele’s third album,
, the ‘Hello’ singer fielded fan questions and opened up about myriad topics in a SiriusXM Town Hall conversation with The Spectrum’s Jenny Eliscu. One fan asked about if the pop star ever faces self-image issues. Adele was frank.
“I do have body image problems, for sure, but I don’t let them rule my life at all,” she told Eliscu. “And there’s bigger issues going on in the world than how I feel about myself and stuff like that.
“There’s only one of you, so why would you want to look like anyone else? Why would you want to have the same hair style as everyone else and have the same opinions as everybody else?”
Adele also touched on what she throws on her speakers when feeling down. Unsurprisingly, it’s not the happiest playlist.
“I try to listen to music that might uplift me a little bit, but I just don’t really connect with it, and music for me is all about connection,” she said. “So mainly Jeff Buckley, I’d say. And that’s been my entire life, I’ve done that. I remember falling out with my best friend when I was like 7 and listening to Jeff Buckley, because my mom was a huge fan.
