Movie: Machete
Starring: Danny Trejo, Robert De Niro, Michelle Rodriguez, Jeff Fahey
Tagline: If you're going to hire Machete to kill the bad guy, you better make damn sure the bad guy isn't you!
Quote: "Machete sent me a text." "What did it say?" "'You just fucked with the wrong Mexican.'"
Movie: Funny Games (original 1997 / remake 2007)
Starring: Susanne Lothar, Ulrich Mühe, Arno Frisch (1997) / Naomi Watts, Tim Roth, Michael Pitt (2007)
Quote: "Whether by knife or whether by gun, losing your life can sometimes be fun."
Dasm!Comment: Whatever you're expecting, this isn't it.
Movie: Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical (trailer)
Starring: Alan Cumming, Kristen Bell, Christian Campbell, Ana Gasteyer, Steven Weber
Quote: "What a night. I was in more laps than a napkin."
It's a musical about the perils of that awful reefer junk. Hilarious dialogue, fun songs, kick-ass choreography, reefer, baby-eating Asians, an orgy, zombies, Jesus in gold cowboy boots, more reefer, prison, a horned god, whores, Joan of Arc, Kristen Bell in fishnets... something there must've gotten your attention, eh? =P
Black Swan
Movie: Fast Five
Starring: Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, that one guy people cared even less about when he was a wrestler
Dasm!comment: How 'bout we not bring familiar faces back just to kill them off, assholes who write these things?
Daltry Calhoun
In & Out
Fight Club
(I really don't think this one needs more info. Everyone and their mother has seen this by now, right? =P)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1
I admit, all things HP usually please me so maybe I'm not the best judge but I think this particular movie was breathtaking.
Dead Poets Society
the Adventures of Baron Munchausen
Even among Gilliam fans it seems to get overlooked but it's my favourite of his films and just a wonderful movie.
Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever!
Mickey & Mallory Knox - Natural Born Killers
"You know, the only thing that kills the demon... is love."
I have a horrible, horrible habit of seeing things coming a mile off in movies, so the only thing I could think of was the events in The Sixth Sense, but even then I wasn't that surprised by it.
3 Women.
the Muppet Movie
Words can't describe how ridiculously happy this movie makes me. I just love everything about it and it is both nostalgic and still magical for me even after all these years.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1
They spent about 1/6 of the budget for Dazed and Confused on the music... I'm pretty sure it was worth it. ;D
The soundtrack features songs from: Foghat, Alice Cooper, Black Oak Arkansas, ZZ Top, Nazareth, Ted Nugent, The Runaways, War, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Edgar Winter Group, KISS, Sweet, Peter Frampton
Everything Is Illuminated.
Joel & Clementine in 'Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind'
Schindler's List
I think it's pretty self-explanatory why this movie makes me sad.
2012. It was one of the best movies I ever saw. I loved the effects and the plot was well-written. Unfortunatley though Avatar got all of the attention and it didn't even get ONE oscar nomination!
Movie: Control (2004)
Starring: Ray Liotta, Willem Dafoe, Michelle Rodriguez
Tagline: Sentenced To Death. Chosen To Live. Destined To Kill Again.
One of those movies I watched just for MRod. It's pretty much the stupidest movie I've ever seen. Predictable. Poorly executed. Horrible dialogue. Has Ray Liotta in it. Only redeeming feature is Michelle Rodriguez. The rest of it can die a thousand experimental deaths.
