Should I read the book series, even though I've seen all of season 1?

I am in the same place as you.I had just finished S1 and now I am hooked.I got bored waiting for S2 so I went and got all the books and I swear to you that you will get hook too.I have not been able to put it down and I am not joking you.I haven't sleep since thursday.

I am currently reading book 4! YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY READ THE BOOKS.

There are many parts of the book which you might enjoy reading which will definitely get cut from the screen version, like small events, or characters.

I can't wait till they introduce Bobba/Bubba!!!

It's so much better having it as an audibook! a friend gave it to me and you can continue "reading" well into dawn with your lights off!

i've only read the books so far. seris one hasnt come out here yet as far as i know. im hooked on the books. im guessing by one response that bubba isnt i the tv seris, but if your confused to who he is, his elvis. ive only read up to book four but im waiting for Dead as a doornail and ill be reading it soon. definatly read the books, their brilliant.

YES, I am currently on book 7 and I started reading them after seeing series 1 of Trueblood! Oh goodness, they are so good!

I found them different enough too, so that I didn't mind that I was reading stuff that would then end up in series 2 of the Trueblood. It also helps picturing the characters since I have seen them first, whereas my friend read the 1st book and then saw the show and thinks Eric and Sookie both look different to how she imagined them.

No in the books Sookie is Eric's mortal wife. In the serious she is with Bill and working her way towards Eric.
