The Vampire Diaries Question

Does anyone else get bugged at the changes in the Vampire Diaries show?

I know it hasnt started showing here yet but I've looked it up on the net and seen ads for it and stuff but the changes are already a bit too much. I know this is not important but Elena is BLONDE or supposed to be. Then, from some of the stuff I've read it seems as though everyone knows they're Vampires from the first Season and silly things like that.. Am I just totally crazy or have I got the wrong impression or what?

i get mad everytime i watch the episodes show is great if you already did not read the books its inevitable to see the differences and compare it with the books
why cant they leave it just the way the things are?! com'on! books are already perfect

Thank you simemin!!!! I loved the books but now they've gone and changged loads... ine thing tho... does everyone know tht they r Vamps.? I know Elena will but i mean Caroline, i read a quote and it sounded like she knew
