what is the difference between what feels stefan for elena, and damon's feelings for elena?
we all know that the first thing that attracted them to it is its resemblance to katherine. but do you feel about their elena is sincere? which of the two?

i think that they both love elena very much and would do anything for her but stefan loves her in a way that he's overprotective. damon still would be protective but let elena have fun and let loose. but it's not just them, elena loves them in two different ways. with stefan she feels she needs him and keeps her grounded but damon she needs and wants and makes her feel a way she never has before.

Stefan Loves Elena for her like he said shes nothing like katherine and he realises that he never actualy loved Katherine..
where as Damon (im not sure now since he hides alot of things) Elena reminds him of her.Damon Loved Katherine like Stefan loves elena.. Damon loves elena i believe like a sister/in law? i dont know but he reminds him of her eventhough shes nothing like katherine :)

In the TV show, I don't think Damon loves Elena, yet, he is still fixated on Kathrine. I think he likes her and will protect her. The more Stefan separates himself from Elena due to his new(reacquiring)fixation on human blood she will be around Damon asking him about Stefan and then he might start to love her. Stefan is in love with her in a way that he will not let a single thing harm her or not tell her anything that will hurt her.
In the book, Damon does truly loves her and so does Stefan. Stefan's love is the same. Damon will not hurt her and will not let anybody else hurt her. He also warns every other vampire/anything else not to go near the car(Shadow souls)she is sleeping in.
Stefan's love is true in book and show
Damon's love is true in the book(cause I don't think he is in love with her in the show)
