“Hey.” You whisper.
“Hey, I’m not dead yet there’s no need to be quiet.” He jokes from his hospital bed.
“But…”
“The only butt I want remember is yours.” He grins.
You can’t help but smile. He was his usual self.
“You ok?”
“Well, yeah I guess. The only problem is they won’t let me have a fuckin beer once in awhile.”
You shake your head and laugh.
“Because it’s a hospital, Dip-Wad.”
“Who you calling Dip-Wad, Dip-Wad? I think beer is the best medicine,” he grins as he leans back further into his pillow. He looks you in the eye. “Hey, I know I’m gonna go soon. I don’t want you to see. That would break my heart.” He says quietly. “So give me a kiss, and why don’t you head on out?”
You shake your head, eyes watering. “No.” You whisper.
“Yes.” He says. “Come on, give me a kiss and go.” He squeezes your hand.
The tears pouring, you lean over and give him one last long kiss.
“Hey,” he whispers softly, wiping away the tears with his thumb. “I’m going to be fine. You’re going to fine. I love you. You were the best thing that ever happened to me.”
You let go of his hand.
“Love you.” You whisper.
And you walk out the door.
And never look back.

You looked around the class for a partner. Everyone seemed to have a partner. You looked down and started to write. You could write about anything. You could feel that someone was standing over you. You looked up to see a girl. "What?" "I was wondering if you wanted to be my partner?" You looked at Ponyboy who was reading. "No I'm fine" you said wishing it was Ponyboy who asked you. You started writing once again. She walked away. You were surprised a Soc. asked you. The bell rang as you walked out of the class. Ponyboy was with his friend Two-bit. Ponyboy's P.O.V I was scared to talk to Y/N. I don't know what to say to her. I wanted to ask her to be my partner, but I would think she would say no. Back to normal. You only had two more periods before school ended. You walked to your class as you took your seat. You fell asleep in that class. You hated that class so you always did. Ponyboy was in that class which sucked cause he always saw you pass out.
“Fine,” you say, as you sit down in his lap.
You watch for a couple of minutes, then Two-Bit says, “C’mon! I need a little action!”
“Here this will make you feel better,” you smile as you give him a quick kiss on the lips.
“Yeah, that made me feel better.” He grinned.
“Awww look at the two of you,” Steve smiled. “Being all cute like.”
“Two-Bit and (Y/N) sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G! First comes the love, then comes the marriage, then comes (Y/N) with the baby carriage!” Soda sings.
“Will you knock it off?” Two-Bit asks, obviously annoyed.
“Actually Soda, that song is in the wrong order. By the sounds of it, (Y/N)’s gonna be knocked up any day now by the way they go at it,” Steve grins.
All you do is smile.
