2nd movie=I like ariel/eric's daughter, Melody. I just wished it had a better plot, instead of trying to rip-off the first film.

3rd movie=I didn't like it, either. Like a few people mentioned, it was a rip-off of the Sound of Music and Footloose. The only good part was seeing Ariel (again), getting to know more of her sisters, and meeting her mom.

I enjoyed the second movie although not nearly as much as the original obviously. However, considering the fact that TLM has been my favourite Disney movie for my entire life and the first Disney film I ever watched and I always felt a special connection to it and to Ariel (her being my number one favourite Disney princess), I was thrilled to see Eric and Ariel - a couple that was my OTP before I even knew what shipping is and what relationship is - having a daughter and being happily married and in love years after. While the plot could have been much more layered and the conflict between Ariel and Melody could have been executed better, there were still plenty of moments that made my heart melt.

As for the third movie I didn't like it at all nor did I find anything appealing about it aside from the stunning animation. Most characters were written terribly OOC, especially Flounder and Sebastian, the first meeting between Ariel and Flounder contradicted the one in TLM series and one of the only things that were intriguing there was the relationship between Triton and his wife before she died and the backstory of Triton's hate for humans because at least it gave a deeper look into his personality and prejudices regarding the human world.
