Maybe...3 or 4 or 5 (2 per ear + nose)...or just stick with my one per ear (so, two.) Honestly, sometimes I don't see a real point in other ones at all, except to be able to wear more pieces of jewelry at once. Cool as many of them look. :/ But still, there could only be one large pair at a time, so that wouldn't help much.

My septum gauged to 1/5th, my right side of my nose, fish hooks (four) on each cheek, my cheeks, 2 next to each eye, 11 on each ear, gauges in my ear, eyebrows, snakebites, angelbites, madonna, venom, back of my neck, collar bone, wrists, implants in my arm, laces down my back, implanted bars in my cheeks (to look like sharp bumps), my ankles, my bridge, my hip bones, and my chin. So, about 48.
