Of course not. You don't stop being close to people just because you love someone. That's not a healthy relationship. Imagine what she would have been like without Jacob.
im glad that he got to really see how much he loves her. but at the same time its like she is teasing him. kinda wanting to be with him but then deciding no i want edward. what a bitch!
She wasn't leading Jacob on. She was completely honest with him about her feelings. He choose to keep being her friend and hoping that she would change her mind. Your saying she should have shut him out of her life and taken his choice away, but isn't that what Edward did to her? How would that help anything? Besides she literally couldn't survive with him, he was protecting her from victoria and he saved her from drowning. If he hadn't been there to save her there would be no one to save Edward.
Bella only meant to have Jacob as a friend at first. She simply did numerous things with him, talked to him, relied on him, and cared for him like any close (not that type of close) friend would. :)
Also, I personally think that when we fall in love, it is overall unintentional. I mean, think about it? When you had your first passionate crush on a boy or girl, did you want to have it? Did you ask yourself to fall in love right before you did?
Bella may have known that Edward would always be the one and only true soulmate for her, and of course she didn't want herself falling for Jacob. But yet, she did.
In fact, if Bella did want to be romantically involved with Jake in the beginning (which she didn't), I wouldn't blame her. Edward told her he was leaving and never would come back, Bella believed him. She couldn't continue to be miserable and love someone who she assumed did not love her or want her and left her. She would have to move on...
I think that she should move on with Jacob,but ONLY since she's very sure that she's over Edward and had real feelings for Jacob(which wasn't true).She's just hurted,confused ,Jacob's by her side as a good friend,had admited his feelings for her whose confused hers too."You can't break up with me!"Remember?A relationship between them'd be convicted.
bella was leading Jacob on and really it wasnt what was wrong with being with jacob really she should be with both or really SHE NEEDS TO MAKE UP HER MIND!!!!
