"White Collar" star Hilarie Burton may love her role on the USA series, but she still feels nostalgic for her "One Tree Hill" days.
"We were kids when we started," she told TV Guide of "One Tree Hill." "And now it's just this warm feeling of, 'You're the only other person on the planet that knows what it's like to go through that. I miss Chad."
Luckily, Burton has a new on-screen love interest on "White Collar" to tide her over: Matt Bomer. "Matt has been a wonderful second chapter for me because Chad and I had done everything together until I was 27 years old, and that was a lot of work. So to come back and have this new love interest that I have really wonderful chemistry with and who I really love as a person has been nice."
Will Burton have to say goodbye to her new leading man anytime soon? Not according to TVLine.
"I consider 'White Collar' my home base," Bomer said. "I’m so lucky to get to play a character that’s very multifaceted and the writers take risks on and never get into a staid process with. They’re always challenging themselves and, thusly, me as an actor. As long as they continue to do that, I’m happy. I love my job on 'White Collar.'"

White Collar actress Hilarie Burton is set to guest star in an upcoming episode of ABC’s Castle, EW has learned. Burton, who also played Peyton on CW’s One Tree Hill for six seasons, will play Kay Cappuccio, a reality TV star with good looks, charisma, and a knockout bod. According to casting scoop, the tabloid darling has “achieved significant fame and fortune without possessing any discernible skill or talent” and “is famous mostly for being famous.” Sounds like someone we know… not that I’m naming names — because I already did in the headline.
The character, however, is more complex than some might think, as she both relishes the spotlight and “at the same time feels like a prisoner of her own celebrity lifestyle.”
Burton will appear in episode 13, “An Embarrassment of Bitches,” set to air in 2012.
