Harry Potter Question

Why do some people hate some of the good characters?

I was really shocked when i found out that people hated good characters like Minerva, Ron, Luna, Ginny, etc. i mean they are the good guys throughout the movie. I understand that everybody have different opinions and way of thinking. And, it's very normal that they don't admire and like some of the good characters. also, they might not find them lovable. But how can people find them hateful? It can be that some of the traits in those characters are very disagreeable, but overall how can anyone hate good people?

It's difficult for me to understand coz i don't find even the negative characters hateful...not all of the negative characters, some of them...

I don't hate any of those, but I can guess explanations for some from comments I've seen people make:
1. Ginny - a lot of people call Ginny a Mary Sue. They feel that one minute she's Ron's kid sister with an embarrassing crush on Harry, the next she's beautiful, popular and a skilled witch. They also feel that Harry's attraction to her in HBP comes out of nowhere.
2. Ron - some people dislike him for leaving Harry and Hermione in Deathly Hallows. Others dislike him because they ship Harry/Hermione and think he gets in the way of that (I suppose you could say the same for Ginny)
3. Luna - maybe some people don't like weird day dreamers? Personally she's my favourite.
4. I really don't get how someone could hate McGonagall.

Just because it's not their favourite ship isn't reason enough to hate a character..and it is clearly said that ron was getting moody and angry due to the locket he was wearing and he regreted the moment he left..Luna's my fav character too..no only Mc Gonagall, people hate dumbledore too...not admring those characters maybe normal but hating them for silly reasons is just so unbelievable

For some people, ships are enough reason. I don't get it myself.

I thought he hid the truth because if Harry did believe he'd die, that'd let him protect people the same way his mother protected him.
