Yeah, I love ranking things! (Even though I've done this about 10 times before. xD)

Comparing these eight films to each other is virtually impossible. Each can be taken on its own, yet is only a small part of the whole. Thus, this is probaably the most pointless question I have ever bothered to answer on this spot. However, in an attempt to humor the asker, I will rank the movies. (1 is the best)

8. GOF (The cuts were not very smooth, thus the entire film seemed choppy)
7. OOTP (Again, the cuts were not very well executed. However, this one was marginally better)
6. HBP (This one included a wholly unnecessary scene of Bellatrix Lestrange burning down the Burrow)
5. POA (Not much happened at this point that was relevant to the whole, asie from Harry Potter's Patronus and the true story of the Marauders)
4. DH1 (When I first heard they were splitting the book, I actually looked for the real halfway point. The movie ran way past said point. It should have stopped with the destruction of Salazar Slytherin's locket. Instead, it stops about a hundred pages further, with the death of Dobby)
3. COS (This contributed greatly to the whole, establishing the idea of Horcruxes and the fact that Harry is a Parselmouth)
2. DH2 (This tied up all the loose ends with that very clever bit in between death and life. Of course, it had the typical storybook ending, but the road to get to that point was not typical in the least)
1. SS (The effects were very good overall. In Harry's first Quidditch match, when he is reaching for the Snitch, Daniel Radcliffe's real head had been replaced with a compute-generated version that stayed in the final cut of the film. The switch was made to see if anyone would notice. No one ever really did)

8. Prisoner of Azkaban
7. Sorcerer's Stone
6. Chamber of Secrets
5. Order of the Phoenix
4. Deathly Hallows Part 1
3. Goblet of Fire
2. Half-Blood Prince
1. Deathly Hallows Part 2

HBP was my least favorite. Not the book, the film. It was way too incomplete.

I really didn't like the films that much, I preferred the books.
