Yes. Out of all 125 thousand people that are on this spot, and out of all the millions of fans of Harry Potter, you are the only one who likes James Potter.
Yes. James Potter is nothing like Harry. Harry is kind, compassionate, brave - his good qualities are all Lily's, while James spends his extra time (when not showing off to his friends) acting like 'a bullying toerag' as Lily says, and making poor Severus suffer. No wonder poor Severus became a deatheater and such a sour potions master. Personally, I hate him so much that I even like Voldemort more than him. My hatred and loathing for him comes second only to my hatred for that Umbridge.
Ofcourse not.
I liked James Potter and as I have written often before, just because he was mischievous in his boyhood doesn't mean he was a bad person. He was kind, brave and loyal.
He should not be compared to Harry. Harry was always very mature:brave, kind and extremely selfless, and I think that was because he had to face hardship ever since his childhood, while James was brought up well and was like any other fun-loving guy of his age. What he did to Snape seemed unkind to me at that time as well, but there is no point pretending that Snape did not have faults. He was always this weird guy, unfriendly, haughty and dabbling with Dark arts. And I think both of their appearance and nature(which was so different from each other) was the main reason for their life-long hatred.
James Potter was not a person to be hated and I a sure a lot of fans will agree.
No. While I don't care for James, I wish JKR had given us a bit more of a back story for him and Lily. I'm personally dying to know why Lily spent years disliking him, and then without explanation, she's with him. Huh?!
I liked him from book/film 1-5 but then when I found out he was bullying Snape (although I didn't like Snape at the time) I stopped liking him. He's okay, I guess.
