This is in my brain (I do have one) from long time. Is it only me or you guys also think that the treatment Fleur got from Weasleys were kinda rude?

To be honest Fleur wasn't being rude to the Weasleys at all. She was being herself. Yes, maybe a bit full of herself, but not all people can be humble and modest - it'd be damn boring, wouldn't it? And she had a reason to be full of herself, she is smart, beautiful and nice. Don't look at me like that (I know that look), she is nice. She is nice to people, who are nice to her, just as everybody else. She likes Ron and Harry and Cedric and Krum and the twins. Why would she suck up to Mrs Weasley and Ginny who don't even try to conceal their dislike for her? And saying that Fleur looked down on the Weaslys is no argument, because Fleur married Bill Weasley and spent the summer with his family even though she was not perfectly welcome. Ginny said that Fleur treated her as though she was 3? Well Ginny kind of acts like a three year old when it comes to Fleur so that's no wonder. As for the psychological part, Fleur had a little sister who she loved a lot and she wanted to carry that care and love for Bill's little sister too. She was planning their bridesmaid's dresses and all. That also justifies how not shallow she is: just think back on the second task of the Triwizard Tournament and Bill's injury and the tiara and all.
And you should not forget about the green eyed monster either: Hermione, Molly and Ginny are dead jealous of Fleur because all the guys turn after her when she walks through a room. Fleur is a nice person, otherwise Bill and Harry wouldn't like her, she is as talented and smart as Tonks for the Goblet of Fire chose her and she is beautiful. I don't think that that amount of conceit Fleur beholds would be unhealthy and something to judge so harshly most people (along with Ginny, Hermione and Molly) do.

What I remember was that Fleur talked down to people ("She treats me like I'm three" was something Ginny had said) and that she was "very full of herself." It was strongly implied that Fleur wasn't very open minded and was still very shallow when it came to her treatment of people, just as she was in book four.

Mrs. Weasley didn't like Fleur because she thought both Billy and Fleur weren't exactly, erm, thinking with their heads, so to speak. She thought Bill would be much better suited with a girl like Tonks or Tonks herself, as they had much more in common.

yeah, as bri-marie said, fleur used to treat ginny as if she is a 3 year old. but i dont see anything too offending in it, for her to call fleur 'phlegm'. molly told ginny not to call her that! and by considering how much molly herself disapproved of fleur, one can easily understrand that ginny was quite rude to her.

and i dont think fleur deserved what she got. most parents dont approve of their children finding their own match. molly weasley was one such person, she thought bill should have taken a much good decision after thinking deeply. thats why molly was a bit hard on her.

once fleur criticised molly's fav song. i dont think there is anything wrong with it! even harry found it funny. and if it was a bit rde too, i dont see any reason to hate her for that!

and imagine ginny weasley making fun of fleur! that was quite rude! fleur maybe annoying but she did not deserve the treatment she got. after all her love for bill did not come for fame or looks(like perfect ginny weasley who called her a cow). even when bill was attacked by a werewolf, she loved him. and i dont think such an intense love deserves to be mocked at by a girl who does not know the meaning of real love (ginny)!
