Harry Potter Question

Question for fans who have read all the books/seen all the movies and watched A Very Potter Musical?

I'm a new Harry Potter fan and am going through and reading the books (and watching the movies as I finish each corresponding book) and I am quite interested in watching A Very Potter Musical and A Very Potter Sequel. My question is what book/movie should I get to before watching them? I'm talking in terms of being able to understand/get the jokes and in not getting spoiled by anything on them, should I just finish and then watch them? Any and all help is appreciated, Thanks!!

Well, all. The thing about AVPM/S is that they tend to focus on the main plots of 2 of the books each, but there are many subtle references to ALL of them in both. One thing that I loved about them is that they managed to snag some little details from all the books. Impressive, really, so I'd definitely say to wait. ;-)
