Harry Potter Question

Would you tell your children about Harry Potter ?

I mean when you grow up and get married then have kids would you tell them about how you loved harry potter when you was in their ages and let them read the books
for example i would tell my kids how i liked bellatrix(as she is my fav HP character) even if she was evil **and if they wouldn't like her i'd make'em SLEEP WITHOUT HAVING THEIR DINNER**"just joking"

Of course I would! I have it all planned out:
Read a chapter of HP before bed. Their wall will be decorated with Gryffindor wall hangings.
They shall love Harry Potter or I will disinherit them - but no pressure.
HP quote! lol

I'm planning on reading a chapter for them every night before they go to sleep which will be pretty funny because I can so imagine me finishing a chapter with something exciting in the end of it like in GOF when at the end of one chapter it said "Lord Voldemort had returned" or something and saying "Well, good night. Pleasant dreams"

Someday, when I have kids, I'd like them to know what I adored, and probably will still adore by then and I'll show them my copies of the books, which will surely be really really old xDD

I'll probably read it to them, and when they are old enough to read by themselves, I'll buy them a copy of the books so they'll have it as a memory.
I'd give mine to them, but they're in Albanian [my native language] and hopefully, by the time I get married and have kids, I won't be living in Albania anymore. xDD

But definitely. They should know what a world phenomenon is :D

Of course, why the need of a question???
I'd planned that since i became an HP fan.I'd thought of giving them the names of trio or others too...But as no one in my community would allow and there'd be religion based problems, i thought it better not to.But i'll give them HP surnames(names for calling from home).

Anyway, the thing that i'll tell my children abt HP is way too obvious.I'm sure they'll be happy that i told them and also will become a fan as me:)

I'd totally tell them about it. I'd read it with them. I remember when I was younger and I couldn't read very well. Me, my mom, my little sister, and my grandmother (who was gardening) would listen while my mom read aloud.

I remember one time I wanted to keep going but my mom had to go inside. My grandmother asked me to keep reading because she liked the story. I was happy I'd have someone to read to, so I kept on. I got her into the books that way.

I'd want to do that with my kids for chiz.

I've got no kids but as an English teacher, I definitely recommend reading the books to all my students - teenagers and adults alike. NOW. (Yes, I teach English to adults too.)

I also recommend them to watch the movies, as there are very fine British/Irish actors and actresses. The language is great. First, see the movies in French (all my students are French speakers). Then a second time in English with French subtitles. Then a third time in English with English subtitles. Then a last time in English with no subtitles at all.

Yes, Harry Potter is really great for English teaching !
