Anime is full of emotionally impactful relationships. There are romantic relationships, family relationships, and friendships. This list is about the friendships in anime that I like the most. These friendships range from heartwarming to entertaining.
5. Tomoko and Yuu (Watamote)
Tomoko is the protagonist of the anime show Watamote and Yuu is her best friend. Although Tomoko is a socially uncomfortable young girl Yuu is there to help her. Despite how different they are they are a nice duo. Their friendship is odd, but they are adorable together.
4. Hotaru and Komari (Non Non Biyori)
Hotaru and Kmoari are 2 of the 4 main characters from Non Non Biyori. Their friendship is my favorite part of the show. Hotaru has a crush on Komari, but the 2 are friends, no romance. Hotaru and Komari are both adorable. The amount of happiness that Hotaru gets from hanging out with Komari is so cute. The second episode of Non Non Biyori is focused on their friendship and it's such a adorable and delightful episode.
3. Jiro Horikoshi and Honjo (The Wind Rises)
Jiro and Honjo are in my favorite film, The Wind Rises. Jiro and Honjo are both airplane designers. Jiro is a cheerful guy even when things aren't going well, but Honjo acts pretty grumpy. Despite how different they are they care about each other. Because the writing of the film is so wonderful every scene of Jiro and Honjo is very interesting and enjoyable.
2. the Black Snow Princess and Megumi (Accel World)
The Black Snow Princess is the main girl of Accel World and Megumi is a recurring character. The princess is so busy that she doesn't have a very active social life, but she does have a very close best friend. Megumi cares so much about the princess. 1 episode of the show focused on their friendship. The episode reveals how much these 2 mean to each other and it's the most heartwarming episode of any show that I've ever watched!
1. Anna and Marnie (When Marnie Was There)
Anna and Marnie are the main characters in When Marnie Was There. The film is pretty much entirely focused on their friendship so they get plenty of time to bond. Anna and Marnie are both lonely and sad young girls who immediately form a special bond. Together they go from being sad to being happy, because they bring each other so much happiness. Every scene of them together is a masterpiece. I relate to these 2 so much and I love their friendship with all of my heart!
