Does any one know who River might be?

That is a good thought? Never thought that myself. Would make sense, see as she keeps saying he'll find out soon.

I know that somehow River and The Doctor might be together or something will happen in that Range.

I was thinking Timelord?

So I'm not sure (I like the idea of Amy's daughter though) but I have a feeling that when we find out who River is is also when she first meets the Doctor in her timeline.

One of my loose theories is that she is an incarnation of Susan Foreman. She could also be and incarnation of Jenny...

Either way, I've known from the start that River Song is not her real name. It just seems a bit too fake.

And, think about this - if she was a timelord, she would have to be blood related to the doctor, or it defeats the whole point of the show, which is that the Doctor's race is gone, and will be forever. And I don't really like the idea of a female timelord.

I was thinking that maybe she was the fourteenth doctor...Time Lords only have 12 regenarations (that's 13 different versions of themselves) but there was technology on Gallifrey that gave them more incarnations - that's why the Master had unlimited regenerations. So maybe the thirteenth doctor got his hands on some of this technology or maybe fashioned it himself, but it was dodgy, and subsequently he became a female.

Either way, I don't she's the next doctor, or any incarnation in particular, because BBC would be digging themselves into a hole. The thing that makes the show great is the fact that it has the ability to go on forever. I think that if River was The Doctor, they would pull out that incarnation right before they cancelled the show so they could give their fans closure, and kill the Doctor at the same time.

Anyway, Steven Moffat said that we find out who River is in Series 6, and that he thinks that she will be very different from who eveyone thinks she is, so maybe we're all thinking along the wrong lines...you never know, we may all be taken by surprise.

well, my friend told me that she was a time lord, and i agree, but i also think that by the way river keeps writing messages on walls as the first words in time, (hello sweetie) shes engaged with the docter. (or something like that. e.g bff)plus, she could be the next dr. i didnt get that idea from anyone, i just read in a book something saying "isnt it about time we had a female doctor?" and i thought, what about song?

I think the idea of a female Doctor is absolutely daft, and there's probably more evidence against than there is for, but I'm beginning to suspect that River is a future incarnation of the Doctor.

I rewatched "The Pandorica Opens," and the line that jumped out at me was the Dalek saying 'Only the Doctor can pilot the TARDIS.'

I think River Song is the Doctor's wife. I do not believe it would be Amy or Donna or someone like that because she always refers to him as "sweetie" and says "Im sorry my love." Plus shes prolly the doctors wife because she can captain the TARDIS, knows his name, and has a sonc screwdriver. Also in the Flesh and Stone episode the doctor asks if she was married and she said "yes" and then he thought she thought he was asking her to marry him and she just replied "yes" again. However i do believe that its possible that River Song kills the doctor because she says she killed the best man she has ever known and who is better than the doctor? Maybe that will be the series finale if they decide to not continue after the 13th regeneration.
