I'm all for having movies based on historical stories, but I don't see how it would work in this case. The whole situation of Henry VIII and what came after has been done many times in lots of movies, and the story is a bit sordid. I don't see how it would work as a Disney story. And Lady Jane Grey herself? there isn't really any romance or story to base a movie on. She just dies after 9 days.

I agree with Jillywinkles, don't really think it would work as a Disney story.

I can't see how they would end it, since her downfall wouldn't be suited for kids.
If you want to see a film based on Jane Grey which has close to a disney plot, (no, there are no singing animals ^^,) you should check out the one with Helena Bonham Carter.

I suppose they'd probably change the ending to make it suitable for kids; they've already done that with a lot of Disney movies, such as The Little Mermaid. It seems like an interesting idea.

I agree with kenzieiscool- I'd love a Tudor-Style princess, but Jane Grey's story is pretty depressing. I mean, she's Queen for like 9 days (and she isn't rightfully so at all - to be honest I don't really like her that much) then she's locked up again for several years until there is another revolt in her name and then she's executed.

If we were to do a Tudor Disney movie, I'd rather it be Elizabeth of York, Catherine of Aragon or Mary Tudor (I).

I don't know... Personally, I adore Tudor History. Favorite thing, next to Disney movies :) I'm not sure how I could see this specific story working, though

Again, though, a Tudor-style princess is a great idea. Fictional or non :)
