It only matters a little. I'm good with traditional or CGI either way just as long as the movie is enjoyable. But I prefer the traditional animation we all grew up with.

Traditional gives a slight boost up in my opinion. I would have to say I generally favor the traditional movies, but it's not only based on the animation style for me.

Traditional has more heart if you ask me, with everything being done by hand. CGI feels plastic.

My favourite is The Lion King. Interestingly, while it uses traditional animation for the most part, CGI was also used to speed up the animation process for a small portion of the film. I think they made all the right decisions; they used CGI as a way of assisting them, without using it throughout the whole film. Hand-drawing each frame takes forever and a half to finish, but it does give you complete control over ever single moment, but CGI can be wonderful too and sometimes (in the case of The Lion King) the two can go hand in hand to achieve something spectacular.
