sorry if this question has been asked before.well i actually LOVE all seasons but i picked the earlier ones because of the bangel scenes!

Except Season 4. Worst buffy season

Even though season 5 is my favourite

all the best relatioships ar in the earlier seasons (bangel, xander/cordy, willow/oz, spike/dru, giles/jenny) the great big bads (the master, angelus spike and dr, mayor)just everything is better and buffy is better herself

I agree with vampirerose & missmckena! Seasons 1-3 are THE best but the later seasons are awesome too! (4 sucked)

Why does everyone think season 4 sucks? I thought it was the second best season! Which makes my pick pretty wild since my #1 is season 3. But let me explain my reasoning...

1) Even though the early seasons have more and better stand-alone episodes (Doppelgangland, Pangs, Halloween) and the plots were fantastic, the later season plots spark my interest more. Even though I very much disliked Glory as a villain, I loved the plot line of Buffy having a sister, and her finding out Dawn's the key to hell, and Buffy coming back from the dead and having a hurtful, sexual relationship with Spike, and the whole First thing, with Potentials and Caleb and uber-vamps. I also enjoy the later season relationships more. Buffy/Spike, Willow/Tara, Xander/Anya. I love the developments of the romantic relationships, as well as the non-romantic relationships like Buffy/Giles, Dawn/Spike, Buffy/Dawn. I just think that the developments made in the later seasons are more interesting.

2) My favorite characters are more from the later seasons, or they have their better seasons later. In the later seasons there's Andrew, Tara, Riley, Jonathan, Caleb. Also I like Spike, Anya, Buffy, Xander, & Willow in the later seasons. And I love Faith & Dawn in season 7.

The only reason season 3 & 4 are my favorites are they have better stand-alone eps. But if we're talking overall season arc, definitely the later seasons, because there's always a Bangel plot line twisted in there somewhere, and if it's not season 1, then it's boring :)

I like the later seasons becasue they are more funny and there is more spike. I like angel, just not on buffy.

Earlier seasons are the best with the exception of Season 5. Everything about them is better, the cast, the storylines, the humor, the relantionships.. though i don't count season 4 as a earlier season, for me it was when they were in highschool. I loved the libary aswell!

Later seasons for many reasons...Anya, Tara, No Angel and...........................SPIKE!

i like all the seasons of buffy except for season 4 i just felt it was lacking something that earlier seasons had, though i did like guest apperances from both oz, faith and angel :) though i like the later seasons too especially season 7

Though I count earlier as 1-3 and later as 4-7.
