if you like girly stories, like comedy, and some British Mischief then read Sue Limb's "Girl, 15, Charming, but Insane" (aka the Jess Jordan Series for there are sequels) I really like her sense of humor! For a more serious teen story Sarah Dessenn books are good and easy to read and pick up. If you like Fantasy with a little touch of horror read Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman! I love him as well.
Maximum ride (renewed my love of reading),the outsiders, tangerine, a rip in time, Goosebumps(what got me to read in general),the invisible man,Dracula,
Artemis Fowl
Lord of the Rings trilogy
Alex Rider
The Inheritance Series (Eragon)
Rangers Apprentice
Wizard Heir
Animorphs
Deltora Quest
Dragons of Deltora
I can't remember anymore right now but I could go on forever!
If you like mystery I suggest anything by Avi or The House Next Door by Richie Tankersly Cusick. Or if you like an adventure Slob by Ellen Potter or Walk Two Moons is really good. For thriller I recommend Number The Stars or The Boy In Striped Pajamas. It really depends on what you like though. Also Ruby Redford by Lauren Child is great.
