I own it; and have read it, along with the one's which come after it; but I found the stoyline and main themes quite repugnant, and the only reason I persued it was because of Anna's briliant writing style

I DO like historical fiction (though this was more fiction than historical fiction......); in fact, I love historical fiction (Though I'd call the book teen/historical fiction), but this was truly repugnant
Well, I personally thought it was pretty good, but you have to really like historical fiction to read it. It was an enjoyable novel, though I've personally read better. Get past the first few chapters and it gets better.
I really liked the first and second but I wasn't that into the third. To me it seemed like she just wanted to keep writing the series and didn't have any ideas.
