I'm reading Carrie at the moment, and I really like it. So yes, I suppose I do like Stephen King's books. So I would recommend Carrie. My sister read the Shining and said it was good. I guess I would suggest the Shining too.
I'm planning on reading "It" afterwards. Be warned though! It's about a killer clown. ;)

Well, I haven't read an entire Stephen King book, but I read the first few pages, and that little info thing on the back of most books to give you a kind of insight into the book... and after 5 minutes, I put the book back.
I just found it really boring- which is shocking since I love horror books.
But I suggest you do read them, cause I think it just depends on the writer's style and ideas, and if you like horror books, he is, without a doubt, the way to go. Try reading a few pages in the store first, so you know for yourself.

Yes, they are great. You can start by reading "Carrie" and "Christine": they both are really good. My favourite is "It", that one is really well written too, and the flashbacks in the characters past are really enjoyable.
You can also read "The Green Mile". It's not a scaring book, like the others he usually writes, but it's a really beautiful and moving story.
