please don't list vampire books ( I've read a ton and loved them but I need a break)

The Heir series by Cinda Williams Chima is also good - The Warrior Heir; The Wizard Heir; The Dragon Heir. Also make sure to read Stephanie Meyer's "The Host". Lots of Twilight fans forget to.

She writes other too, starting with Wolfblade (3 books in that series) and Then continuing with Medalon (3 books as well it's a continuation of the wolfblade series)

Anything By Robin Hobb! I love Robin Hobb. The Farseer Trilogy theres:
- Assassin's Apprentice;
- Royal Assassin; and
- Assassin's Quest.
AND
The Tawny Man Trilogy:
- Fool's Errand
- Golden Fool
- Fool's Fate

(btw I REALLY love Robin Hobb her characters and stories are so amazing!)
